A moderate heart...

“Harden not your heart...” Psalms 95:8 KJV

Good morning Divine Ones! We are working with the Fruit of the Spirit and planting Temperance in our divine garden today. Our passage speaks of not hardening our hearts. Let’s break it down! Temperance is “ moderation in action, thought, or feeling.” (Webster’s). It is “the ability to direct one’s behavior in right ways.” (Revealing Word). Temperance or self control is vital to our everyday existence. When we are not in control of our actions, thoughts, or feelings we say and do things that are hurtful and mean. When we are out of control we don’t think rationally and can hurt ourselves or others. Consider road rage. Someone gets cut off in traffic and they become angry and in a split second they react and place themselves and others in danger. They become a hazard. Well, we just planted Meekness in our divine garden so that is not an option for us. We must, as we stated yesterday, apply knowledge (insight and understanding). We do this by studying spiritual principles and applying what we’ve learned on a daily basis. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God...”2 Timothy 2:15. We must practice the Presence daily, come apart and rest a while, and allow Goodness and Gentleness to come forth. We must pay attention to our thoughts and feelings and recognize when we are in danger of allowing ourselves to let go in a bad way. When we behave in a bad way, for a time our hearts are hardened. “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty [emancipation from bondage, true freedom].” 2 CORINTHIANS 3:17 AMP Divine Ones, practice Temperance today and be free. Harden not your heart. Divine Ones, when we exercise self control...we are saved from ourselves. More tomorrow! ❤️💖💙
