Believing is seeing...

“Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.” John 20:29 NRSV

Good morning Divine Ones! We are working with the 2nd Commandment, “Thou shalt not make into thee any graven images.” Exodus 20:4. Our passage today speaks of seeing and believing. Let’s break it down! “Man in his spiritual immaturity has always found the need to clothe God in human form. ...carved figures and medallions may be sincerely intended to comfort us and reassure us. But how easily and often we confuse the symbolic for the real.” (Breaking the Ten Commandments). When Moses came down from Mt Sinai with the tablets with the Ten Commandments, the people were worshipping a golden calf. He threw the tablets down and they broke into pieces. “The metaphysical implication is clear that stone tablets alone are insufficient to lead people to a higher way of life. The stability of human life cannot be achieved by keeping the commandments alone, but only by breaking them down to their underlying spiritual essence.” (Breaking the Ten Commandments). We must become spiritually mature to recognize that there is so much more. Divine Ones, there is always action required on our part. We must realize that there is “ONE Presence and ONE Power in my life, God, the good omnipotent.” (Lessons in Truth). We must stop depending on our five senses alone. We must believe not because we have seen with our physical eyes but because we know from spiritual perception. We must pray from the innermost part of our being. We get there by Practicing the Presence, abiding in the Presence of God. Ask yourself “What do I really believe? Do I believe because of physical proof? Do I need to have all of the answers or can I allow myself to TRUST? “There are two classes of people...one class requires that every statement made be proved...the other is willing to “become as little children” (Lessons in Truth). Which are you? Do you require graven images or idols or are you willing to become as a little child? “The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God...he cannot know them because they are spiritually discerned.” 1Corinthians 2:14. Divine Ones, seeing is not believing, believing us seeing. Are you ready to release your idols and graven images? Let’s do it! More tomorrow!❤️🧡❤️🧡
