Alter your mind...

“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”

Matthew 5:6 KJV

Good morning Divine Ones! Today we are reviewing the 4th Beatitude, which is our passage for today. To hunger and thirst is “to have a strong, burning desire for something. (Based on Webster’s). “Righteousness, in the Bible, means not merely right conduct, but right thinking in all subjects, in all departments of life. Outside things are...the out-picturing of our inner thoughts and beliefs. (The Sermon on the Mount). “Our responsibilities as offsprings of God are right thinking, right feelings, right words, right actions, and right reactions.” (Lessons in Truth). Action is always required on our part. The word action means “an act of Will; bringing about an alteration...” (Webster’s). The Law of Mind Action is “like attracts like”. (Lessons in Truth). “What you think in your mind you will produce in your experiences. As within, so without. You cannot think one thought and produce another.” (The Sermon on the Mount). If what is showing up in our lives is not to our liking, then we must bring about an alteration. It takes courage to bring about change. Courage is a “spiritual quality that enables one to remain poised and centered in God amidst great difficulties...” (Revealing Word). It takes strength to bring about change. Strength is “the energy of God...the capacity to accomplish...” (Revealing Word). It takes both courage and strength to bring about an alteration in our thinking. We have tools in our toolbox, denials, and affirmations. Deny any belief that prevents you from realizing that you can change. Affirm the Truth “I am made in the image likeness of God. ALL that is true of God is true of me. Because I believe this, ALL things, ALWAYS, are possible for me.” “Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3.5 “Our understanding is primarily based on what comes to us from the conscious mind...this mind gathers its information from the outside world through the five senses...” (Lessons in Truth). “But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.” Job 32:8 KJV. We obtain understanding through practicing the Presence of God. Abiding or dwelling in the presence through going to our inside world and getting our information from within. In order to alter our thinking, we must lean not on our own understanding but, on the understanding given through abiding in the Presence. “We are working with spiritual laws that are just as exact as physical laws.” (Lessons in Truth). Divine Ones, as we hunger and thirst we are filled. Hunger and thirst for righteousness, right thoughts, feelings, words, actions and reactions. Abide in the Presence and allow the Almighty to give you understanding, spiritual understanding. As we do this...we are saved from ourselves! Tomorrow we begin the 5th Beatitude, “Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.”Matthew 5:7 KJV. More tomorrow! 🧡🧡🧡🧡
