Cleaning house...

“Thou shalt not kill.” Exodus 20:13 KJV

Good morning Divine Ones! We are reviewing the 6th Commandment today, “Thou shalt not kill.” Exodus 20:13. One of the definitions of “kill” in Webster’s is to “annihilate or destroy...”. This definition is usually used in reference to wars. Jesus broadened the application into the whole area of destructive tendencies of mind.” (Breaking the Ten Commandments). The word “enmity” (active...mutual hatred or ill-will) should also be considered because it defines how people usually feel when angry, upset or threatened. “Things may happen around you and even to you, but if they “get under your skin” it is because you have permitted them to happen within you. To have an enemy is to have enmity. Your feelings of enmity frustrate the flow of love.” (Breaking the Ten Commandments). We go into kill mode when we feel threatened by someone or something. “A threat can be real or imagined. It’s not the threat it is our reaction to the threat or “our mistaken belief”. (Breaking the Ten Commandments). “A man’s enemies are those of his own household...” Matthew 10:36. Our household is our mind and we do have control of it. When people do or say things do we that we see or feel as hurtful, should we give them a piece of our minds (kill them) or should we use self-control? Our words can be like scud missiles that we launch at someone but, we must realize that we are shooting the missiles at ourselves as well. On the journey out of bondage, the child of Israel carried with them their old patterns in the form of “old prejudices, old dependence on idols and false symbols. They followed Moses, the man with a dream, but they were not ready to accept the dream for themselves.” (Breaking the Ten Commandments). How can we change old patterns and become ready? We can turn aside and go back to the 1st Commandment and come into a conscious awareness of “...the Lord our God is One Lord.” Deuteronomy 6:4. We are one with the ONE Lord. We can stop seeing two-ness and see only Oneness. Remember that “the person who is always angry at the world is really angry within and at himself...the supposed enemies are essentially a creation of his own imagination.” (Breaking the Ten Commandments). “Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind...” Romans 12:2. Divine Ones, we have been blessed with dominion or supreme authority over our own household. Become well-minded and the chaos will dissolve. Practice the Presence through prayer, meditation, and the Silence. Abide in the Presence today and every day. As we do this...the killing stops and, we are saved from ourselves! Tomorrow we begin the 7th Commandment, “Thou shalt not commit adultery.”Exodus 20:14 KJV. More tomorrow! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
