For righteousness sake...

“Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.” Matthew 5:10-11 KJV

Good morning Divine Ones! We are starting our work with the 8th Beatitude as is stated above. Let’s break it down! First of all let me just say that this seems to go against what we have been discussing but it actually does not. “...the Will of God for us is harmony, peace, and joy, and these things are to be obtained by cultivating right thoughts or “righteousness”. It is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom...the way we receive it is by cultivating serenity or peace of the soul...Peacemakers who do this, praying in “Meekness”, shall obtain prosperity, inherit the earth, have their mourning turned into joy, and whatever they shall ask the Father, the Father will do!” (The Sermon on the Mount). This brings together the previous Beatitudes as they all work together. Now this next part is quite deep. Are you ready? Ok. “...we must realize and understand that the source of persecution is us, not some outside source or person. Our “lower selves”, those unrighteousness thoughts that at first don’t want to give up, let go. They seem to say “I’ve lived here for a while and I’m not going.” I told you it was deep! When we are tempted to hold wrong thoughts...give way to fear, anger... (thoughts of limitation), we are being persecuted for righteousness sake, which for us is an extremely fortunate condition.” (The Sermon on the Mount). Fortunate? Yeah ok. How so you ask? I’m glad you asked! Remember sometimes we don’t move unless forced to. We don’t move until we come up against some adversity. We don’t move until the rubber meets the road. “It is not the adversity that moves us. It is the desire to be free from the adversity that causes us to move.” (Lessons in Truth). That desire to be free moves us to call on, cry out to, the Spirit within. That desire to be free causes us to turn and Practice the Presence. We are struggling with our own old ways of thinking. Divine Ones, this is a BIG deal. What are you struggling with? What are you being persecuted by? Divine Ones... ponder this... and watch... what... happens! More tomorrow!❤️❤️❤️❤️
