“Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5 KJV
Good morning Divine Ones! We are actually reviewing the 3rd Beatitude today and moving to the 4th Beatitude tomorrow. So let’s review. “The word Meek in the Bible is a mental attitude. It is a combination of open-mindedness, Faith in God, and the realization that the Will of God for us is always something joyous. The word earth in the Bible means manifestation. Manifestation or expression is the result of a cause. All causation is mental. To inherit the earth means to have dominion (supreme authority) over that outer manifestation.” (The Sermon on the Mount). In order for us to inherit our earth, we must change our mental attitude, our mental position if our outer experiences don’t match up with what we want. We change our attitude or mental position through prayer and meditation. “For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7. “It is through thinking that man forms that which he has in his life.” (Lessons in Truth). “The word heart represents the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is the memory mind. It is the storehouse of our past thoughts and experiences.” (Revealing Word). If our thoughts are not manifesting what we want, it’s probably because of something in the storehouse but, remember we can change how we think. If our thoughts are not aligned with the Will of God for us, which Is always something joyous, then we can change what we think. Faith in God is required. “Faith is spiritual assurance.” (Revealing Word). We must have the assurance that “God as Father is the source of all the good that we desire.” (Revealing Word). Another key is to be willing and not willful. “Willingness takes into consideration spiritual laws. Willfulness, on the other hand, is operating from a consciousness of fear. (Twelve Gifts). Willingness is being open-minded, seeking guidance from within. Willfulness is seeking guidance from the outside. Divine Ones, Meekness is a mental attitude. Do you have an attitude of Meekness? Do you have an open mind, Faith in God as your divine source, and the realization that God’s Will for you is always something joyous? If not... are you willing to change? The choice is yours!
