Keep thoughtful silence...

“...But he who controls his lips and keeps thoughtful silence is wise.” Proverbs 10:19 AMP

Good morning Divine Ones! We are working with the Fruit of the Spirit and planting Temperance in our divine garden today. Our passage speaks to controlling what we say. Let’s break it down! There are times when our emotions cause us to react in ways that do not demonstrate Temperance. “Now there was no water for the congregation, they gathered together against Moses and Aaron.” Numbers 20:2,3. Moses had, with God’s help, produced water in an earlier situation by striking his rod against a rock as instructed. “Moses went to the Lord and again the Lord told him to take his rod up and speak to the rock...to bring water out of the rock.” (Hidden Mystery). This time Moses lets his emotions get the better of him. “Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock? Then Moses ...struck the rock twice (instead of speaking to the rock as the Lord commanded.” Numbers 20:10, 11. So the children were upset and probably grumbling. I mean they were at the end of their 40 year journey and that’s a lot of grumbling. Moses allowed their grumbling to anger him (can you blame him?) and did not follow instructions AND he took credit for bringing the water. “And the Lord spake unto Moses, because ye believed me not...to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore yes shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.” Numbers 20:10, 12. If he had practiced Temperance, he may have been able to cross over into the Promised Land (...Living entirely by God’s Grace). He who controls his lips. Divine Ones control your lips today. Divine Ones, keep thoughtful silence today. Practice Temperance today. Divine Ones, as we do this... we are saved from ourselves! More tomorrow! 💙❤️💖
