“Let all things be done decently and in order.” 1 Corinthians 14:40 KJV
Good morning Divine Ones! Today we are beginning our journey with the power of Order. Order works in several ways in our lives. The impact of order or a lack of order can be felt spiritually, mentally and physically across all areas of our lives. The scripture states let ALL things be done decently and in order. Let’s break it down.
Order is first, our ability to put and keep, God first. Putting and keeping God first means we must spend time with God in order to develop our personal relationship with God so that we can understand what’s being put first. It’s one thing to know about God but an entirely different thing to know God for ourselves. “Seek ye first (God’s) kingdom and (God’s) righteousness and all of the things will be added unto you.“ Matthew 6:33. Each one of us must learn to stand alone with this indwelling power. How do we stand alone with God and our God first? Through prayer, meditation and sitting in the Silence.
Prayer is “communion between God and man.” (Revealing Word). Communion is defined as “intimate fellowship” (Websters). Prayer is talking to God. Prayer is affirming the presence and power of God. Prayer is not supplication or begging. You know, Lord please fix this. Prayer is stating, declaring, acknowledging that there is a power greater than ourselves that is available to us at all times. Prayer adjusts our consciousness, our awareness. Talking to, spending time alone with this power gives us power and all things begin to order themselves rightly. Order is the first Law of nature. The seasons are ordered rightly. Winter does not fall in July and Summer does not fall in January. Babies are born and grow to adulthood not the other way around. Starting our day saying “I am thankful for another beautiful day. I get to expand my awareness and express the power within me. This power goes before me making peaceful, joyous and successful my way.” This statement is a declaration of our intent to have a beautiful, peaceful, joyously successful day. Also an Orderly day. No stress, no strain. And if stress and strain should try to visit we go back to our statement and declare our preferences for our day.
Tomorrow we will discuss the power of Order as it relates to the practice of meditation. So Divine Ones talk to God, our Orderly, in dwelling power. Spend time with this power developing your relationship. Sit and rest awhile seeking to know more of this power. Establish Order by seeking God first.
