Put the rocks down!

“Let he who is without sin cast the first stone...”

John 8:7

Good morning Divine Ones! We are working with the 7th Commandment, “Thou shalt not commit adultery.” Exodus 20:14. Our passage today is from the story of the woman who was caught committing adultery. Let’s break it down! The crowd wanted to stone her according to the law. Jesus, however, called them out by saying “Let he that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.”. John‬ ‭8:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬. The scripture states that Jesus wrote something on the ground while speaking. Some say he could have been writing down the sins of those in the stoning crowd. “But it seems much more likely that Jesus was referring to the sins of the mind. He could have been saying “If any of you is free from the sin of adulteration of Truth, of not seeing the best in people, let him stand up and administer the punishment to this unfortunate woman.” With that criteria, who could throw a stone? Even (Breaking the Ten Commandments). Divine Ones, How many stones do we throw at ourselves and others? Do we always see the Christ in ourselves? Do we always see the Christ in others? Does that mean that we are committing adultery? Consider this, “Even if one of the accusers were free of mental sin up to that moment, by his act of accusation he was committing adultery right then.” (Breaking the Ten Commandments). This does give us something to think about. That’s why we must watch and pray. “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation...” Matthew‬ ‭26:41‬ ‭KJV‬‬. What kind of temptation? The temptation of seeing less than the Truth in ourselves and in others. Divine Ones, watch every thought, every word, every feeling, every action and every reaction. Watch and base all on the Truth. Put the rocks down. As we do this, well, we are saved from ourselves! More tomorrow! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
