Remembering the Sabbath...

“Remember the Sabbath (seventh) day to keep it holy (set apart, dedicated to God).”

Exodus 20:8 AMP

Good morning Divine Ones! We are reviewing the 4th Commandment today. The Sabbath is a time of rest. Originally the Sabbath was on Saturday, which is actually the 7th day. It was probably changed to fit the idea of honoring the first day of the week, as the day Jesus was crucified.” (Breaking the Ten Commandments). “The true Sabbath is that state of spiritual attainment where man ceases from all personal effort and all belief in his own works and rests in the consciousness that "the Father abiding in me doeth his works" (John 14:10). “We rest from outer work, cease daily occupation, and give ourselves up to meditation or the study of things spiritual. (Revealing Word). “Come ye yourselves apart...and rest a while...” (Mark 6:31). Rest prior to starting your day. Rest in order to receive strength for there is power in stillness. Rest in the presence of the One. We must rid ourselves of the thought of secular and sacred. “That is one of the most important steps in the whole history of the soul. ...everything that happens is the expression of God...everything that has any real existence is God in expression. (The Ten Commandments: The Master Key to Life). How do we keep the Sabbath day and rest? We do this through prayer and meditation and the Silence. We do this by abiding in the Presence of God. To abide means to “wait for”. They that wait, or keep the Sabbath renew their strength, they soar like eagles, they run and don’t get weary, they walk and not faint. “This is the spirit of the fourth commandment. “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.” Take time to let Spirit breathe life into your whole being, to pause and become centered in the divine flow of life, love, and substance. The word holy means whole. There is a wholeness within you always. Wherever Spirit is at all, the whole of Spirit must be.” (Breaking the Ten Commandments). Keeping the Sabbath day holy renews your mind. Keeping the Sabbath day keeps you from conforming to this world. “To keep the Sabbath holy is to do your work, whatever and wherever it may be, in the awareness of the divine flow of power, intelligence and creativity. Do what you do with enthusiasm and vigor, and then, synchronizing with the rhythm of the universe, take time occasionally to pause, let go, and enter the inner chamber and shut the door.” (Breaking the Ten Commandments). Divine Ones, keep the Sabbath day. Be not conformed to the norm. Be not conformed to the old. Be not conformed, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. Divine Ones, as we do this...well, we are saved from ourselves! Tomorrow we begin the 5th Commandment, “Honor your father and mother, that your days may be long in the land which the Lord your God gives you.” (Exodus 20:12). More tomorrow! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
