Spirit, freely given...

“Now we have received...the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:12 KJV

Good morning Divine Ones! We are working with the 8th Beatitude, “Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake: For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:10. Our passage today speaks of the Spirit in us freely given for a purpose. Let’s break it down! “There is no virtue or advantage whatever in being persecuted or annoyed by other people. ...Nothing can come into our experience unless it finds something in us with which it is attuned...having trouble and difficulty is only a sign that our own mentality needs clearing up... for what you see at any time is your own concept.” (The Sermon on the Mount). This is a very important concept to understand, although it may initially bring distress. This topic is not meant to bring distress but to help us to understand how the law works in everyday life. If we are experiencing trouble then that means that there is trouble in our thinking. This means that we need to clear up our thinking. How do we change our thoughts? “You must seek systematically to destroy in yourself everything which you know should not be there things such as selfishness, pride, and vanity, self-righteousness, jealousy, self-pity, resentment, condemnation and so forth.” (The Sermon on the Mount). These are troublesome thoughts and only bring to us more trouble. We have received the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. The purpose is so that we can live the Will of God for us which is goodness and joy. We have been given dominion (supreme authority) over our thoughts and feelings. Exercise your supreme authority through prayer and meditation. “Watch every thought and base every thought and feeling on Truth” (Lessons in Truth). “ ...if you truly live by this, it does not matter in the least what your present circumstances may be or what difficulties you may have, you will triumph over them all.” (The Sermon on the Mount). Since nothing can come to us unless it finds agreement in us, then we must change what we are tuning into. Tune in to the Spirit within. Divine Ones “choose you this day whom you will serve...” Joshua 24:15. Peace and serenity or trouble? We are Peacemakers and Peacemakers “bring about true peace and serenity, in their own souls.” (The Sermon on the Mount). Divine Ones as we do this... we are saved from ourselves! More tomorrow! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
