Good morning Divine Ones! We are working with the 8th Commandment, “Thou shalt not steal.” Exodus 20:15. Our passage today speaks of being taught to do the will of God. What is the Will of God for us? “God's will is always perfection and all good for all...” (Revealing Word). Since the Will of God for all is perfection and all good, there is never any need to steal at any time. Not even a paper clip. “When one really understands the spiritual law of “You shall not steal,” he becomes meticulously careful not to take or accept anything that is not rightfully his … or fail to fulfill an obligation that is.” (Breaking the Ten Commandments). Let’s look at an example. You’re in a restaurant paying the check and you realize that the cashier has given you too much change. What do you do? Well if you are focused on “get, get, get”, then you may rationalize this as repayment for all of the times you have been “short changed”. Who would know? Well, if you do that, the cashier will be short at the end of their shift and now they are “short changed” but, then, you are too. “...when you know the divine law—that you can never get something for nothing—the decision is easy. Out of your giving consciousness you call it to the cashier’s attention immediately. When you know that there is always a price to pay, why subject yourself to a cost that may not be to your liking? You would, in that small way, lose control of the forces that are working in and through and around you. It is not worth it. Breaking the Ten Commandments). Teach me to do your will...the Will of God is perfection and good for ALL and that includes the cashier. Being on level ground is allowing the cashier to experience perfection and good at that time. Practice the presence of the One and allow the good Spirit of the Lord (the Christ consciousness) to teach you and lead you on level ground. Divine Ones, as we do this we are saved from ourselves!
