Good morning Divine Ones! We are working with the 1st of the Beatitudes from “The Sermon on the Mount”, “Blessed are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Our passage today speaks of (the) spirit in man and understanding. Let’s break it down! I mention prayer and meditation quite frequently. I do this because it is important to practice the Presence daily. So once again Prayer is “Communion between God and man. This communion takes place in the innermost part of man’s being.” (Revealing Word). How do we reach the innermost part of our being? Through being still. “Be still, and know that I am God...” Psalms 46:10 KJV. How do we make the most of our communion? Through understanding. “...man must understand the nature of God...God is Spirit. We are the offspring of this Spirit. God is Mind: man is the thinker. God is Life: man is the living. God is Substance: man is form and shape. God is Power: man is powerful. God is Wisdom: man is wise. God is Love: man is loving. God is Truth...” (Dynamics for Living). We are offsprings of the Divine and in order to become “the poor in spirit” we have to take action and one of those actions is to commit to daily prayer and meditation. Meditation is “a steady effort of the mind to know God.” (Revealing Word). Steady effort Divine Ones. What has your steady effort bee focused on? Prayer? Meditation? Or? Communion with God is how we get to know God, how we build our personal relationship with God, how we understand how we can change through this relationship. Prayer and meditation do not change God. These practices change us. To become “the poor in spirit” practice the Presence. To become “the poor in spirit” be steady in your effort to know God. Divine Ones, as we practice the Presence we allow the Almighty to give us understanding. As we become still, as we make a steady effort to know God...well ... Divine Ones...we are saved from ourselves! More tomorrow! 🧡💙❤️
