Good morning Divine Ones! We are working with the 4th Commandment, “Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy...”. Exodus 20:8. Our passage today speaks of waiting on the Lord. Let’s break it down! “The Sabbath is kept any time we enter into spiritual consciousness and rest from thoughts of temporal things. We let go of the external observance of days because every day is a Sabbath on which we retire into Spirit and worship God.” (Revealing Word). How do we enter into spiritual consciousness? We enter into this awareness by abiding in the Presence through prayer and meditation and the Silence. To abide is to remain in a fixed state of God.” (Revealing Word). “Prayer is communion between God and man. This communion takes place in the innermost part of man’s being...Persistency in prayer awakens the spiritual consciousness... (Revealing Word). To abide means to “wait for”. (Webster’s). In order to experience this spiritual consciousness, we abide in the Presence or wait for the Lord. The word Sabbath means rest. What are the benefits of keeping the Sabbath or waiting on the Lord? They that wait, or keep the Sabbath day, renew their strength, they soar like eagles, they run and don’t get weary, they walk and not faint. Glorious right? “...Rest from outer work, cease daily occupation, and give (yourself) up to meditation or the study of things spiritual.” (Revealing Word). We sometimes give more time to contemplating our relationship with man than we do contemplating our relationship with God. So now consider this, if we work on our relationship with God through the practice of the Sabbath, our relationship with man is taken care of at the highest level. So Divine Ones, remember the Sabbath day. Divine Ones abide in the Presence of the One daily. For as we do this, we are saved from ourselves! More tomorrow! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
