Good morning Divine Ones! We are working with the 5th Beatitude, “Blessed are the merciful: for they shall receive mercy.” Matthew 5:7. Our passage today speaks to moving to a new level in consciousness. Let’s break it down! In the Bible, “land represents consciousness unfolding at different levels; various stages of awareness within the individual; i.e., lowlands, highlands, fertile lands, wastelands, etc.” (The Hidden Mystery of the Bible). In working with the Beatitudes we are working to change our level of consciousness, our level of awareness. If we’re in the lowlands (thoughts of lack and limitations) we want to move to the highlands (state of spiritual awareness). For example, mountains represent “an exalted state of mind...a state of spiritual realization.” (Revealing Word). The Beatitudes and the other lifesavers help us to focus our attention on the Truth of our being. We are made in the image likeness of God. (Genesis 1:26). All that is true of God is already true of us. We have forgotten this wonderfulness and because of our forgetfulness, we suffer. Working with the Lifesavers and the other tools in our toolboxes, such as denials and affirmations, helps us to. “...put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.” Exodus 3:5 KJV. Put off anything that stands between you and your God, between you and your understanding of God. Put off the belief that you cannot be merciful. Get thee out of that country. Put off the belief that being merciful is showing weakness. Get thee out of that country. Become what you want to receive. You want mercy (Christlike treatment), then be merciful. Get out of your old country, old attitudes, old mental position, and come to the new land of Mercy. Divine Ones, as we move to a new land, as we move to a new level of awareness, as we allow nothing to stand between us and our understanding...well then...we are saved from ourselves!
