Good morning Divine Ones! We are working with the 3rd Beatitude, “Blessed are the Meek: for they shall inherit the earth.” Our passage today speaks to our Will versus God’s Will. Let’s break it down! We have said that God’s Will for us is always something joyous. “God’s Will is always perfection and all good...perfect health in mind and body, an abundance of every good thing...The belief that God wills both good and evil is false.” (Revealing Word). We have to choose whether we believe this. We have to decide if we are being Willing or Willful. The Meek state of mind “also includes a perfect willingness to allow the Will of God to come about...” (The Sermon on the Mount). The Meek are Willing and not Willful. “Willingness takes into consideration spiritual laws. Willfulness, on the other hand, is looking to the outside world, not working from guidance from within. Being willful is operating from a consciousness of fear.” (Twelve Gifts). To be Willing is “(to) accept by choice.” (Webster’s). This is key, choice. Willfulness, looking to the outside, not taking time for quiet, to be still, does not serve us well. Remember we have dominion (supreme authority) over our thoughts and feelings and can choose! Meekness is being open-minded. The Meek operate from an awareness of being Willing and not Willful. They become as little children and accept by choice that the Will of God for us is goodness and joy. How do we become Willing to accept the Will of the One? We become Willing through Practicing the Presence through prayer and meditation. In your prayers declare “I accept that the Will of God for my life is goodness and joy. I am willing to accept the Will of God. I judge not by the appearance. I judge rightly. I am made in the image and likeness of God. I have dominion, supreme authority, over my thoughts and feelings. I choose this day God’s Will.” Divine Ones, have courage and open your mind and heart to the Will of God which is joyous. Divine Ones, do this...and watch... what... happens!!
